Erasers

It's not a toy, it's not edible, It's an eraser! Yes, a ramen eraser. My girlfriend has a fettish for small things. While I was borrowing an eraser from her she handed me this. I asked her where she bought it. She told me in a stationary store in Koreatown. She told me that it is very famous in Japan. It is very interesting how they made a ramen into an eraser.
What is interesting in this ramen is that you can actually pluck out the ramen noodles and use it as an eraser. Everything is made of an eraser.
They make different kind of this erasers. From ice cream to sushis and other food that you can think of. It is very cute for teenagers but it is not as useful as my eraser for my art class. It is too cute to even use. My girlfriend do not even use these erasers. She told me that be gentle with it when she lend this to me. It is so cute that it lost its purpose as an eraser.
It is a great invention but not really useful. It is also overprice. For 4 pieces of one inch eraser cost $8.99.It cost more than my durable erasers.

Keurig

I cannot start my day without drinking coffee. Keurig made it easy for me to have my coffee ready and fast. Keurig is not like any old school coffee maker. It only serves for one cup. Unlike the old school coffee machine I think this is way better. It is freshly brewed and ready to drink. There is less waste of untouched coffee to be thrown out.

Keurig is not really a cheap product for everyone to buy. It is mostly seen in companies in their break rooms. It is very productive because each person can bring their own favorite coffee brand and not put up with generic brand coffees.

The only problem with this is the K-cups. A lot of plastic are being used for just K-cups. Although I have a refillable K-cups, Keurig is known for selling the plastic ones.

Keurig is an American manufacture product and they are the pioneer of single serve coffee machine. There are a lot of new coffee machine brands that are like Keurig. This coffee machine is one of their first model. They have upgraded it to a better service for people.

Speaker

When buying a new desktop computer, a speaker is included in the package for a better sound quality. Speaker can also be used in a laptop where you can just plug in a cord from the speaker to you laptop without any installation of programs. The design of the speaker usually are rounded, rectangle and square shape. There is a volume button to control how loud and muted a sound can be. There is a small circle in the bottom middle of a speaker to tell you if the speaker is plugged or turned on. Usually nowadays, computer and laptops have their own built in speaker so it can be a lot more portable but the sound quality in a built in speaker is not as good as the real computer speaker. Also, computer speaker can be raised in a louder sound than the built in one which means the sound is a little more realistic than normal. I rarely see people using a computer speaker. Usually they just rely on a built in speaker. I think speakers are a great idea but the only problem is how portable the speaker can be in the future. People nowadays prefer portable than quality.

Computer mouse.

A computer mouse is very important for a person. It is use to hoover and move around the cursor you see in the computer monitor. It will be very hard for a regular person to use a computer or a laptop without a mouse. Specially designers need a mouse to be able to move around with the cursor accurately. A computer mouse varies on the size of it. There are small sizes of computer mouse and there are also large and medium sizes. Usually computer mouse has a wire that has an end of a usb plug. The wired mouse obviously does not require any battery. Few years back, designers and inventors made a mouse that is smaller than usual size of a computer mouse but now its wireless. It is pretty handy but the only problem is you will need to have a battery in order to make the mouse work. I prefer wired mouse because wireless mouse drains battery fast and it usually does not work accurately. In my experience, wireless mouse has faster sensitivity meaning the cursor moves faster than usual even with a slight touch. Wired mouse is a lot cheaper, you will not require to buy loads of battery just in case the battery drains off.
In my opinion, computer mouse is a great idea for people who uses desktop computer. In a laptop situation there is a keypad that you can place your finger and move it around for the cursor to move.

Radio

One of the most famous creation of man kind is the radio. When I was a kid, I thought radio was one of the 90's kids toy but this was made years or maybe decades ago. I am intrigue on how the radio operates. For starters, radio are very affordable. Much cheaper than a television most of the time. In order for a radio to successfully work, you will need a battery or a plug. There is suppose to be a radio satellite and a radio station for the radio to work. From the radio station, radio announcers broadcast for people to hear it in its own radio.

Usually, radio are shaped as a rectangle or square. There are buttons for the volume and switch up radio station. Nowadays, radio come in different shapes, big and small and a little bit more high tech than usual. Also, radio was made also to be portable or for vehicles. I am amazed on how technology are evolving at a fast pace. I think the design for the original radio is amazing. Its outstanding and its very trend setting material.

Piggy Bank

The Piggy Bank is just one of the nickname for coin container. The piggy bank are known to be used by children so they can be able to save up coins without using them. It is also used for kids to be more organized with their coins instead of splattering it around everywhere. The piggy bank are known to look like pigs for kids liking purposes. The piggy bank are usually made up of ceramic or porcelain. The pig design usually are icon for thrift saving to the people who has them specially children. Most of the piggy bank usually have rubber cover beneath the pig. Few years later, some companies designed a piggy bank that is more electronic for easier access that usually requires to have a battery to operate. In the movies or shows, usually people break the piggy bank by using a hammer to smash it out in case they needed for money.

This piggy bank idea is very brilliant. I have one at home and I have been using it since I was a kid. I love it, I get to collect coins and by the end of the year I am amazed on how much I collected. I think it is a must buy product but those electronic piggy bank has more of the upside than the original piggy bank.

Nokia Old School Phones

AHHHHHHH, why its the Nokia Old School Phone. One of the most durable things in the world. It is truly unbreakable but sometimes things happen. So you might see a crack here and there but that is rare. The most that can happen to a Nokia Phone is a mere scratch. Not only the Nokia phone is very durable but it also have a good sound quality. I think that Nokia Phones are just overshadowed by the new gadget phones because of the upgraded technology. Cellphones are use to call and communicate with people you want to talk to. Nokia Phone does that which is why I think the sound quality of it is amazing. The new touch screen phones recently are called the portable mini computer, instead of calling a cellphone.

Nokia Cellphones comes with the basic with calculator, contacts, games with the "snake" is one of the famous one and most importantly the ringtones. Nokia is known for that infamous nokia ringtone. I don't know what that phone is made out of but it breaks rarely. One of the must buy in the old times which was about 10-12 years ago. I hope nokia bring back these kinds of phone again and let the trend get back again.

Xbox Game Console Controller

Xbox controller was originally controller bundled with a Xbox game console. The controller has a feature of two analog sticks use to move characters or direction when playing a game. Also D-pad is included also known as the directional pad, two triggers and lastly, 4 colorful 8-bit buttons (green, red, yellow and blue). The original design for the xbox controller is known to be fatty/bulky. With that being said, it was named in the Guinness World record as the biggest game controller in the gamer edition in 2008.

The difference between the first xbox controller design and the new xbox 360 controller is the back and start button has been moved in center of the controller and added two new bumper button on the top part of the controller. Also the designer Larry Hryb replaced the Wireless controller bundled with the Play and charge kit. The basic body layout of the controller are still similar with the "Controller S" aka original xbox controller. Lastly, a small change is the size of the new controller are smaller than the original but it is still bulky.

I love the design of this controller. I am more of a xbox type of person than a PlayStation. I also love how I can have a grip on a xbox controller rather than a slim and small playstation controller. But its a tight race on both controller on whether who has a better design.

Water Balloon

Yes, water balloon. One of the most famous games in a park party or beach party are used by water balloons. Water balloon are used as a grenade like that you throw to people for the game called water balloon fight. Some use a launching device for long range attacks. The design of the water balloon hasn't changed since its first launch of the products. The inventor of this product marketed as a water grenade for children to use instead of violence. The water balloon are made up of latex like plastic that are fragile if hit into a hard surface.  Water Balloons are usually smaller than regular air balloon if it was inflated.

In my opinion, I am impress to the one who invented this product. I can say it was a success since everyone in all ages uses water. Although, when playing water balloon fight, you got to have sportsmanship. People these days uses water balloons as one of their pranks. In conclusion, this is a must buy for those people looking for a game for their party.

Christmas Parol (Christmas Lantern)

Its a tradition for Filipino people to have a Parol or Christmas Lantern every Christmas. You rarely see Filipino house that has no Christmas Lantern. Parol is an ornament usually star shaped decoration that represents the star that was seen by the three kings before Jesus Christ was born. It symbolizes as the victory of light over darkness and its a superstition of having a good Christmas when you have it somewhere around your house. Parol are usually made up of bamboo and paper called Japanese paper. People make different sizes of parol. I have seen Parol with regular paper and I also have seen parol with Christmas Lights around it to lighten it up like a star. It was originated in 1928 and was made by Francisco Estanislao. Back in the day, Parol are just shaped as a simple star with Japanese paper covering the bamboo shaped star. In the new era Parol, the materials range from plastic, shells, glass, beads, foil, feathers, hemp, leaves, seeds, soft drinks straws, wood and even metal. As I have mentioned above, they have incorporated Christmas lights inside or outside the Parol.

The design perspective has grown so much since the original product. Some designers included the parol to be part of what the Philippine people called dancing Christmas Lights. Also sometimes, there are competition of who has the largest or the most beautiful parol in the country. In my opinion, I love the Parol idea just to pay up respect to the Filipino tradition. I also like the idea how it makes a certain house beautiful when it has Parol as a decoration.

RubixCube

I consider rubik's cube one of the most annoying toy ever. I am very bitter about it because I couldn't solve it. Rubiks cube was introduced to me by my cousin about 8-9 years ago and until now I have no idea what the technique is to solve it.

Since I couldn't solve this toy, I did a little research about it. Rubiks cube is a 3-D puzzle like toy. Its original name is called "magic cube" by a Hungarian sculptor. This was made by a professor named Erno Rubix to teach students about 3D-art. As years pass by, it was nominated as the toy puzzle of the year in the 80's and also was named the most top selling puzzle game by 2009.

A Rubik's Cube consist of 6 sides that has different color every side. The colors that is involved in that cube are red, blue, yellow, green, white and orange. The game works by pivoting and enables it to turn independently to match the right color in each side. Many has been successful in solving the cube and many have been annoyed and stop trying to solve it. Some people took it to the next level by joining every single contest or tournament to see how fast each contestant can solve the Rubik's Cube.

In conclusion, I like the rubiks cube idea. It helps a person's problem solving skills but beware as it will get annoying and very frustrating if you cannot figure out how to solve it. So for those people who gives up fast like me, don't buy the product but if you love solving problem and thinking hard to solve it then this is a must buy for you.

FujiFilm Instax Mini 8 Polaroid Camera

Wow. Just Wow. Besides my DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera, Instax Mini 8 Polaroid  was one of my favorite camera ever made. Let me explain a little information I know about Instax Mini 8 polaroid. First of all, it is a shoot and print type of camera. It is an instant develop print like an old school polaroid camera. This camera are ideally for hipster people only. Although some people who are not hipster has it as well.  This camera also brings back the old day where it can be printed to a retro picture look.

This camera has various type of color. So far I have seen, yellow, green, white, pink, blue  and of course black. Maybe there are other colors that I haven't seen before. Fujifilm designed a couple of Instax Mini in the past. This version, the Instax Mini 8 is a little bit slimmer than the old Instax models. Around the lens area, you can be able to adjust how bright or dark the background will be. Also, like regular cameras Instax Mini 8 needs battery to be able to work.

There are five different exposure to choose from; indoor nights, cloudy that has shade, Sunny but slight cloudy and lastly sunny and bright. Fuji Film also added "High key mode" where I can shoot photos with higher brightness and a softer atmosphere. In this camera, trial and error is not a good idea because it cannot be edited once the picture is being printed out and most likely the expensive film will be wasted.

In conclusion, I say this is a must buy. It is very simple to use but you will have to understand it very well to perfect it. Although, this is an expensive toy its a great experience to have it with you when you go to beautiful places to take pictures. The camera itself cost around 80-100 dollars but the film are more expensive if you calculate all the expenses you will have to spend in the future. The film cost 15-20 dollars for 10 shoot of film only. Other than that, if you want to turn back the time and try how it feels to have a retro perspective once again, this is a cool toy to have.

Ukelele

Most of the people spells this instrument as "Ukelele" but its really spelled as "Ukulele." Although it works either way. I am that type of person who loves music from an instrument but I don't have the talent to learn it. Ukulele is in the family of musical instrument with strings but this one only has four strings play for. Its tune sounds like a guitar but Ukulele has a little bit of high pitch than guitar. Also, Ukulele usually are a lot smaller than a guitar. Most of the people assume that this instrument originally came from Hawaii because of all the movies and commercial with the instrument but it is originally from Portugal.

 

Ukulele are usually made out of wood but in some cases plastics are mixed as their materials used to make this product. Ukulele price range about 50-100 dollar depending on the quality of it and the sound. I personally like this better than a guitar because of how it sounds. It calms/relax me down whenever my girlfriend plays it. Also, It can be carried anywhere and would not be worrying about the weight of it.

Pop Funko NBA collectibles

Funko Pop are just made for collection purposes only. As a NBA fan, I wanted to have this as my collection. The funko pop company not only have nba action figure but many other characters as well. They made a replica look alike in every sports player, anime characters, celebrities, cartoons. Funko made all of its characters have a bigger head proportions than usual figures. Also, funko are known for toy collectibles to have a dark circle black eyes. Each figures stands 3.5 inches tall and all have same stand up basic pose with the figures arm at the sides and holding a basketball on their right arms. Not only they try to make a replica look alike of each player but also have their designated team/team color, name and jersey number. These two figures shown were one of the first batch of funko pop nba released by the company. The company only made top players of the nba as their first batch of collectibles to see if sells big. These figures can only be found in some comic stores but most of the time it only sells on ebay or any other online stores. Each figures only sells for 10 dollars or less. I think this is a must buy for those people who are nba fans and would like to have their favorite player in their collections. There are 18 Funko Pop collectibles at the moment so you "gotta catch them all."
